Before & After

Hello All

Finally took a photo of the oustide of the house now that it's finished.

Here is what it used to look like:

This is the finished product. We tried to keep it the same as before with regard to windows that suit, a lick of paint (no more green), a new roof and new flower boxes - can't wait to get them filled up for summer !

We just love living in the new place - so much more room than before.

Carnival

Hello People

Yesterday the kids had a special day for carnival at the Kindergarten (they still have 2 more to go). They all dressed up as Chinese people with little hats and plaits they had made. They got their faces painted too and had a ball. Today they even went to the Chinese restaurant in town for munchies and have been practicing all week with the chopsticks ! Lots of fun. Here are some photos:

Also a nice shot of our dinner table all set up with the lovely placemats that we got from Karl as a present.

By the way this is my lovely brother Karl and his even lovlier girlfriend Leanne - high guys !

Second Ski School Race

Hey People

Just a few photos of Charly in action in her second ski school race. She came 6th out of 10 kids and she was the youngest. The rest were 5 and a half and older so she did really well.

She loves the prizegiving and dancing with Bobo the penguin.

Xmas

Hello Everyone !

Sorry we are a bit late with this one - my computer had a hernia and we had to send it in. Seem to have it sorted now so cross fingers and here we go !

Xmas was really nice and really quiet. Just us 3 this year and Charly was in bed at the normal time so no nightmare days afterwards. We went to the traditional Xmas concert up near Peter's house and then a quick drink there and home. Mike cooked a fantastic dinner for us and Charly basically went mad opening all the things under the tree. As you can see I got skis, helmet and poles for Xmas which is great as my old ones were the old style and the carving skis are much better for my knee. Charly got a real heap of goodies and loved them all - she kept saying "I always wished for this" - real cute.

Here are a few photos:

We spent New Year at home as Charly is still not a fan of all the fireworks. Mike and I had a couple of bottles of nice red wine and then Charly woke up bang on midnight due to all the noise. We were able to watch all the fireworks from our bed (all 3 of us) on the top floor and had a 360 degree view of everything. Very relaxing and cosy warm instead of being outside.

Here's hoping you all had a great Xmas and New Year too !
