Kindergarten Celebrations

Hello

Today Charly gets to celebrate her birthday at Kindergarten and she is all excited. She picked out this dress and her jade carving to wear from NZ and Oma Hilda baked a special cake for her to take with her. She has little cocktail sausages and her cake and is so hyped up.



She even wanted to pose for photos before I took her there this morning - AWWW !!


They place her photo in a frame by the Kindergarten room door so everyone can see whose birthday it is.

4th Birthday - 23 Feb 2008

Heyall !

Here are some pikkies of Charly unwrapping and trying out her presents. We had to cancel the party on the 23rd unfortunately as she had a slight case of scarlet fever. It went away after a few days with homeopathic medicine and letting the fever run it's course which was good. All fit again now and the party with all the kids (18 of them !!) is on the 1st of March - this Saturday. Should be chaotic to say the least.

Enoka Sick Trick Tour 2008

Hello !

Charly and I went to watch a snowboard and ski jump contest on the 16th of Feb and it was great. She was wowing all over the place and loved it. Here are some cool pikkies.

Valentines Day

Spent the afternoon at the frozen lake in the sunshine with Monique, Tobias and Yannik. The kids had a great time playing at the park and mucking around. The sun was warm but as soon as it disappeared behind the mountains we headed off - brrr !





I donated blood today and got a tulip from the Red Cross - Mike is away so at least there is one flower in the house on Valentines Day.

Dear All

Madam has been having a bit of a cough / bronchitis thing the past few days so we have been hanging out inside and getting better. Yesterday we wrote some birthday cards for her friends Elisa and Jonas who both have their birthday next week and she did really well. I wrote it out for her to copy and off she went (yes she is lefthanded and she is already getting annoyed that when she writes something she smudges it - see the B on Jonas' card).



We also did some face painting ...




The birthday party planning is full-on at the moment with 18 kids and some mums to help, treasure hunt, face painting and a kiddy cabaret dude - photos will be coming. 23rd of Feb is the big day - nearly 4 - where does the time go !!!

Before & After

Hello All

Finally took a photo of the oustide of the house now that it's finished.

Here is what it used to look like:


This is the finished product. We tried to keep it the same as before with regard to windows that suit, a lick of paint (no more green), a new roof and new flower boxes - can't wait to get them filled up for summer !


We just love living in the new place - so much more room than before.

Carnival

Hello People

Yesterday the kids had a special day for carnival at the Kindergarten (they still have 2 more to go). They all dressed up as Chinese people with little hats and plaits they had made. They got their faces painted too and had a ball. Today they even went to the Chinese restaurant in town for munchies and have been practicing all week with the chopsticks ! Lots of fun. Here are some photos:
