Play Afternoon

Dear All

Last Friday the kids had a play afternoon - Hannah (English & Austrian), Harlee (Kiwi & German), Charly (Kiwi & Austrian) and Elisa (Austrian) - it was a total mix of languages and a real laugh. The had lots of fun and I cleaned up for 3/4 of an hour afterwards !

Fire Department Festival in Town

Hey People

On Saturday they had the Fire Department festival in town and so Charly and I decided to kidnap Elisa and take her with us to see what was going on.

The girls got to go up the 30m ladder way above Kitzbühel, squirt the fire hose, have a ride in a fire truck and also watch a couple of cars being cut up !

Basically they had a great morning and here are some of the photos:

Pond Renovations

Hello

A few photos from the beginning of the pond renovations ! Charly and I rescued about 50 snails (with houses) the day before and they are currently residing in bucket in her room. Her pets ! I have made it quite clear though that they are going back in the pond once it is finished - wait and see !

Last year the fish died after the winter as the pond was not deep enough, the pump also "packed a sad" and the pond was basically stagnant all summer. We - well the pond dudes - are currently digging it deeper, getting rid of all the green crap around the sides, hiding the big special underlay, planting special water plants to clean the water naturally and fixing the pump. Should be great when it's finished.

It's finished and the snails are in so wait and see. Have to wait a couple of months before we put in the fish in order to let the plants settle in though ! Charly is chomping at the bit !

1 May Kids Festival

Hello All

Just a few photos from the Kids Festival that they have every year in the town centre. Charly went in the Go-Kart race, painted a plate and waited an hour - patiently - to get her face painted ! She went with her cousins Laura and Hannah and had a great time.
