Triopetra Yoga Resort - Crete

Hey People

Just had to write a few lines to let you know what I am up to at the moment.

I have been wanting to get away alone for a break for quite some time now and I finally managed it on Saturday. I flew (albeit with a 4 hour flight delay from Munich Airport) to Crete - yahoo !! Mike said if I don't organise it I wont get there and it works well as Kindergarten is still open for one more week.

I am now at the Triopetra Yoga Resort on the south side of Crete. Fantastic place and the view is amazing up on the hill overlooking the ocean ! Mental note: never come here on holiday again though for the beach as this place has the most wind I have ever experienced. For a Yoga break it is fantastic and come again any time. However, the wind is that strong it almost knocks you off your feet and all day long. It does not let up one bit. Howls around the house all night too .....

The resort itself is small and very relaxed and family-like. They can take 25 people or so and I love my single room - big and roomy and much better than sharing. They have a small swimming pool and a cool shaded relax area with hammocks, chairs and couches outside overlooking the sea.

The food is amazing. Macrobiotic cooking - seriously healthy and vegetarian. Breakfast you can help yourself with the famous greek yoghurt, honey and muesli, lunch is cooked for you and dinner too. We have an hour and a half yoga in the morning which I am really enjoying and then meditation in the evening - so very relaxed and nice. Perfect to unwind and chill out.

It has been HOT and the wind is like a hairdryer on full blast and top heat range - but hey. Yesterday we went to the beach and got blown about in general but the water was great. Had to swim around some rocks to get to it and that was fun.

Watched Germany lose to Spain - fantastic ! Viva Espania !! Saw it in a nice little Greek Taverna with a few of the other people on the course. Most of them are from New York, a Mum and her two kids from Sweden, England and Switzerland and then of course Austria !!

Have a serious massage booked for tomorrow afternoon so really looking forward to that.

Wow that was lucky - almost thought I had lost this one ..

Ok people that's all for now as I think this laptop and connection here is a bit dodgy.

Love and kisses - me - relaxed and yogaed out !!! xxxxooo

Hairdo and Bath Time !

Hey People

Just a few photos again of Charly - I am always behind the camera that's why there are never any of me - ha ha !

My dirndle t-sirt but Charly loved the colour of course !

Got a hairdo again ...

Bath time with Elisa today. We had been at the park all afternoon and they were making a great mess of themselves in the sandpit and with the water pump ! They wanted to have a bath together and so off we went ! Had lots of fun too. Elisa stayed for dinner too.

Off to Crete tomorrow morning for one week Yoga and relaxation which is going to be fantastic. The first time I have been away alone since Charly was born ! Meditation, beach, vegetarian food, single room with no-one bothering me ... bliss !!! Can't wait. I get the train from Kufstein to Munich and then fly to Crete. Got an extra hour at the airport to do some wandering around and do a bit of shopping too ... lucky me. Big thanks to Mike .... xxxooo

Here is the link to the resort if anyone is interested in having a nosey.

House & Garden Pikkies

Hey Mum and Dad

Happy Pepi Musical

Hey People

First off some photos of the Musical that Charly was involved in. She did really well considering she was actually sick on that day but really wanted to take part. She had been practising for the last 3 months for the show so we went for it ! She was in "Winzig Land" which means "Tiny Land". It was a great show and the kids did really well. They had three full performances in all - one for the Kindergarten, one for the Primary School and one for the parents, friends and family. Charly invited Elisa of course ! Charly was also in the local newspaper which was cool.

A little Musical star already. She loved it.

House Stuff

Hey People

Here are a few more photos of things that have been finally finished on the house. The outside of the house is looking really nice and the flowers are growing like mad ...

This is one photo before we started any of the renovations - bit of a difference huh !

The guest room/hideaway laundry is finally there ...

Wardrobe is also finished with space for the vacuum cleaner, etc. and the winter jackets ...

We got the blinds installed in Charly's play corner so we now have a bit of protection against the sun ...

Gregor made us a great bedside table out of steel which is as long as the bed and covers up the future kitchen plumbing and wiring that was sticking out of the floor ... unfortunately he thought we needed two instead of just the one and so the other one has landed in the office but we have found a great use for it as a magnet board ...

My iris's are flowering fantastically by the pond ...

I have also finished my painting and it looks pretty cool if I don't say so myself - kinda funky and colourful ...

Just a few pikkies of the office and the newly renovated terrace and table. Ready for terrace meetings and coffees ...

We also picked up a funky chair at IKEA the other weekend ... it's a bit of Arne Jacobsen style ...

Just keeping you up to date Mum, Dad and Karl and anyone else who is interested.

Kindergarten Family Indian Festival

Hello all ...

Here are a few pictures of the festival we went to on Friday at the Kindergarten. It was a stinking hot day and the kids put on a great show with dancing and singing - so cute. Charly had a scarf to wave around while the others were dancing. You can see her in the background.

I was responsible for a bit of face painting ...

A huge storm came through later on but it didn't put a damper on the proceedings. We had a huge buffet where each parent bought a dish and lots of goodies for the kids.

Hope you are all well.
