Pond Renovations

Hello

A few photos from the beginning of the pond renovations ! Charly and I rescued about 50 snails (with houses) the day before and they are currently residing in bucket in her room. Her pets ! I have made it quite clear though that they are going back in the pond once it is finished - wait and see !

Last year the fish died after the winter as the pond was not deep enough, the pump also "packed a sad" and the pond was basically stagnant all summer. We - well the pond dudes - are currently digging it deeper, getting rid of all the green crap around the sides, hiding the big special underlay, planting special water plants to clean the water naturally and fixing the pump. Should be great when it's finished.

It's finished and the snails are in so wait and see. Have to wait a couple of months before we put in the fish in order to let the plants settle in though ! Charly is chomping at the bit !

1 May Kids Festival

Hello All

Just a few photos from the Kids Festival that they have every year in the town centre. Charly went in the Go-Kart race, painted a plate and waited an hour - patiently - to get her face painted ! She went with her cousins Laura and Hannah and had a great time.

Pregnant Lady - Hilarious

ACTUAL AUSTRALIAN COURT DOCKET 12659 ---
CASE OF THE PREGNANT LADY

A lady about 8 months pregnant got on a bus.
She noticed the man opposite her was smiling at her.
She immediately moved to another seat.
This time the smile turned into a grin, so she moved again.
The man seemed more amused...
When on the fourth move, the man burst out laughing,
she complained to the driver and he had the man arrested.

The case came up in court.

The judge asked the man (about 20 years old)
what he had to say for himself.

The man replied,
'Well your Honor, it was like this:
when the lady got on the bus,
I couldn't help but notice her condition.
She sat down under a sign that said,
'The Double Mint Twins are coming' and I grinned.
Then she moved and sat under a sign that said,
'Logan's Liniment will reduce the swelling,' and I had to smile.
Then she placed herself under a deodorant sign that said,
'William's Big Stick Did the Trick,' and I could hardly contain myself.
But, Your Honor, when she moved the fourth time
and sat under a sign that said,
'Goodyear Rubber could have prevented this Accident!'
... I just lost it.'

Easter Weekend on the Hahnenkamm

Hey People

Had a fantastic weekend up on the mountain staying at the Hotel Ehrenbachöhe. Great weather with sunshine and no clouds and over 20 degrees for sure. Fantastic skiing and lots of fun with friends and their kids which made it even more relaxing. The kids had an Easter Bunny Egg hunt on Sunday up the mountain too ! Some shots:



Going up in the Gondola - we skiied with all our gear to the hotel and didn't even have our ski pants on which Charly thought was a great laugh ! Was only 100m but people looked at us funny !

When we got home the Easter Bunny had also been in our garden and left real golf clubs for Charly and a Friendship Book - man was she excited. Charly and Mike had to have a hit right away ! She loved it. of course there was the obligatory chocolate as well !!
